Wise and Grateful

Dani and I were talking to a 2nd grader, Davarion, who we have known since last year, about Christmas. We talked about Santa and asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He just looked at us and said, "I don't need anything." Dani and I, not understanding or paying attention to what he really said, just said, "Oh come on what are you asking for?" And again, he looked at us and said, "I don't need anything. I have a home. I have a mama. That's all I really need." It touched Dani's and my hearts to the point of tears. He has so much less than we do, and yet, he does not even want Christmas presents because he already has the most important things. Just thought I'd share this beautiful story :)
